Trial of Champions Empty Trial of Champions

Description:
Trial of Champions is a pve (player versus environment) type of fight, that can be accessed once per day. It's a massive instance with 50 total fights / levels, devided in 5 floors, each with 9 fight against mobs and 1 fight against mobs + a mob boss (on fights / levels nr. 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50). The fights / level gradually increase in difficulty, so even low level / weak hero can do the first fights / levels, but only stronger heroes can finish all. Heroes gain experience points, can get different rewards (ore, jade ornament, purple items, skills, shop items) upon completing certain floors and missions and can get blue and purple gear by random drops.

Tips:
* use ranged units (archers or ranged t5 are best)
* assign units on second row and on right side on hero, to decrease chances of mobs going for your troops (same as in lairs)
* after battle starts, press "Auto" before countdown ("3, 2, 1,...) ends, to decrease chances of your troops getting attacked by the mobs (same as in lairs)
* use the safe spots shown in the tutorial

Special Tips:
* on the fourth and fifth floor (lv. 31-50), where there are archer mobs too, use either hero to eliminate archers first and then go to safe spot (if your hero is strong enough) or you can just use your troops to sneak from behind and kill the archers, after they start shooting at your hero
* on the fifth floor (lv. 41-50), where there are cavalry mobs, first standby hero in front of your troops, kill cavalry mobs, then either go for the archers or to safe spot
* on some of the floors it is almost impossible to avoid the mob boss going for your troops; when this happens, concentrate all the fire power of your troops on him, to take him out as quickly as possibly
* for the "No loss taken..." type of missions in ToC, the secret is to keep hero on safe spot only till there are only like a couple of hundred mobs left, then run and hide with your hero behind your troops, use potion to restore full HP and let your troops take the agression of the mobs; to do this good planing and timing is esential, as enough mobs must be left so they survive, untill you restore heroe's HP with a potion + he must be missing only so much HP so that you can restore it to it's maximum with only one potion
* for the mission where you need to use melee units, all units must be of the same type (either only pikes or warriors or cavalry) and of the same tier / level (for example only lv. 2 pikes); to finish them you need a very strong hero, that can kill on his own most of the mobs, while your units are on standby at a safe distance and when only 4 stacks of mobs are left, each of them attacking hero from all sides, you send the melee units on them to finish them off

First Floor ("Trial of Bravery") / lv. 1 - 10 - Safe Spot (variant with troops behind ruined cottage)
(this variant is faster, as your troops arive faster to final position)

First Floor ("Trial of Bravery") / lv. 1 - 10 - Safe Spot (variant with troops behind rocks)
(this variant is a littlebit slower, as your troops go further, but it's safer for them, specially in the fight / lv. with the mob boss)

Second Floor ("Hero Lobby") / lv. 11 - 20 - Safe Spot #1 (behind rocks)
(in this variant, hero takes less damage, as only 1 slot of mobs can attack him at the same time)

Second Floor ("Hero Lobby") / lv. 11 - 20 - Safe Spot # 2 (behind picket fence)
(in this variant, hero takes more damage, as 2 slots of mobs attack him at the same time, but it is safer for troops; specially if you use troops with lower range, too many stacks or on the tenth fight - with the mob boss)

Third Floor ("Trial of Honour") / lv. 21 - 30 - Safe Spot
(on this floor the mob boss will most likely go for your troops; concentrate the firepower of all your units on the mob boss, to kill him as fast as possible)

Fourth Floor ("Trial of Endurance") / lv. 31 - 40 - Safe Spot + killing archers with troops
(after the archer mobs start shooting on your hero, sneak on them from behind and kill them with your troops)

Fourth Floor ("Trial of Endurance") / lv. 31 - 40 - Safe Spot + killing archers with hero
(you standby troops near the safe sport, run out with your heroes and kill the archers mobs, then return with hero to safe spot and let troops finish the rest of the mobs)

Fifth Floor ("God's Throne") / lv. 41 - 50 - Safe Spot - variant #1 (killing cavalry and archers with hero)
(when there are cavalry mobs, you standby your hero in front of troops and wait for the cavlary; after you kill the cavalry, you run out with the hero and kill the archers and then go to safe spot and let your troops finish the remaining troops)

Fifth Floor ("God's Throne") / lv. 41 - 50 - Safe Spot - variant #2
(where there are cavalry mobs, standby your hero in front of your troops and wait for cavalry; after you kill the cavalry, take hero to safe spot and let troops finish the remaining mobs, including archers)
