Leveling Heroes, Missionaries and Merchants

Leveling Heroes:
There are several ways heroes can gain experience points and level up. For heroes levels 1-40+, the best way to level is in the arena (see topic "Arena Battle"). For higher level heroes, the best ways to level is on mobs (NPC's) on world map (see topic "Hunting Mobs / NPC's on World Map") and in the Trials of Champions (see topic "Trial of Champions").


Leveling Missionaries:THe quickest way to level missionaries is by worshiping inside the holly shrine / temples (for more details, see topic "Teritory, temples, missionaries".


Leveling Merchants:
The only way to level merchants, is by sending them to trade goods between cities on the world map (see topic "Trading with merchants).

You can either choose a short route, like Rome - Milan (Rome), Cairo - Alexandria (Egypt), Babylon - Baghdad (Persia), Changan - Taiyuan (China) - this method is nice for lower lv. merchants or if you don't mind dealing with merchants too often.

Another, probably more profitable method, at which you deal less with merchants, is to send them on longer routes. The further away you sell the goods from the place of purchase, the more profit you'll make. Trade between nations is specially profitable. In order to maximize profits and merchant experience, be sure to purchase the items which have the highest price / weight ratio.
